DIRECTIONS FOR USE

WORKSHEETS

No-Prep, just print and go. You can use just the cut and paste pages or also pass out the additional sentence writing page that matches. The second page can also be used for early finishers. The ABC cut and paste worksheet has the alphabet listed as a reference. The sentences page has an editing checklist on it.

LITERACY CENTER

Cut apart the 26 picture/word cards and place in center. Print one or both recording sheets and place in center. Students choose 6 picture/word cards, copy those 6 words onto their cut and paste sheet, then complete their worksheet. If you place the second worksheet at the station, then students will choose 4 of their words to practice writing sentences with.

This product is great for students working on those tricky present tense sentences that aren't the easiest to elicit naturally. As many students use "go" incorrectly for singular subjects ("The crayon go in the box"), students will have repeated practice of "goes" sentences with this resource. This is done through sorting of objects by location (e.g., "The toothbrush goes in the bathroom"). NO PREP worksheets and sentence frames are also included. In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 95 different animals/insects vocabulary words presented. Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language and after learning the English word, students will complete the animals vocabulary review where they will be required to fill in the English and their native language for each animal vocabulary word. Pictures are included for each vocabulary word to help students make connections to what each animal vocabulary word is. Students can do this independently or with help. Students will be required to answer a few comprehension questions that relate with what animals they see in their neighborhood, what animals their family members have, what animals live in the zoo, what animals live on the farm, etc. Students will then be required to choose 11 animals vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each word.
