Gratitude is the quality of being thankful and the readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. This activity encourages students to develop a gratitude and thankful mindset by noticing the good things and blessings in their life, appreciate them and express gratitude.
Teaching children the importance of gratitude is important and should not be underestimated. Expressing feelings of gratitude has been shown to decrease stress, improve sleep and increase a sense of belonging.
This activity will go through 3 helpful steps to remember when showing your appreciation and gratitude. The traffic light system will go through the three steps in detail to support students to develop a healthy mindset about appreciation and gratitude. Being grateful for the things that you are appreciative can help you to learn to not be fearful about the future but instead focus your energy on the present.

Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters who are experiencing a problem. When students are reading each story, they will review feeling disappointed and what happens when they feel that way. Health and Fitness Adapted Notes and Review

In this product about how to stay healthy, things to do to stay healthy at home and at school, the benefits of physical activity, healthy fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy, protein, and fats and sweets. Students will answer comprehension questions based on the information that is provided in the product. Students will then be able to draw pictures throughout the product to answer questions regarding their favorite food, how they stay healthy at school, and how they stay healthy at home. Students will then have the opportunity to label different physical activities that they can participate in at home and at school as well as labeling different foods that they may eat.
Throughout the product, students will answer comprehension questions that relate with the material that is carried out on each slide. Students can complete this as a group, independently, with a partner.

Students will also learn about the following - Students will learn about the importance of sharing with others and examples of what can be shared with others. Two social stories that focus on sharing are included in this product. The social stories include comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. This product encourages students to understand the importance of sharing, how you can be helpful to others when you share, how you would feel if you were in need of something and no one shared with you, maintaining good friendships, and why you should want to share adventurous experiences with others.
At the end of the product, you will find 4 role-playing cards that relate with sharing. Students can role-play each situation and talk about how they would feel if they were in the situation.
