Mindfulness is noticing what is happening right now. Studies show that mindfulness enhances students' ability to pay attention and focus. It helps them to calm down and improves emotional well being and social skills. No wonder yoga and mindfulness go hand in hand. Yoga does all of these things and also helps to improve balance and posture, stretches and strengthens muscles and increases flexibility.
This resource includes 15 yoga poses. Each pose is on a full sheet of paper (color and black and white) with simple directions to read to the students or have them read themselves.
Each pose is also on a half sheet for using at a center, individually, or sending home (in color and black and white as well).
