Montessori Winter Math Games: Kindergarten Number Sense to 100, Add to Make 10
By Jessica Renee Montessori - JRMontessori
Are you looking for the perfect way to delight your little learners this holiday season? This bundle includes 2 winter math activities and 10 beautiful math inspired snowflake images.
Snowman Math Activity
This Winter Math Activity – Making 10 Bead Stair Extension Game combines your students' love of snowmen with a fun way to practice math. This activity is perfect for the day before winter break, day after Christmas break, or any time you want to add a little winter fun!
Perfect for Montessori and lower elementary classrooms, this game brings the wintery outdoors inside and uses the colored bead stair to teach your students the combinations of numbers – 1-9 – which make ten. This is excellent preparation for linear addition with the Snake Game. Here’s a quick overview of the two activities included:
Activity 1: Match the Snowman Heads and Bodies: Add to the winter festivities with this fun matching game. Students need to match the snowmen heads and bodies in a way that help them in making ten. This also includes a handy ‘control of error’ to guarantee the answers are correct.
Activity 2: Create Combinations of 10 and Write Down the Equations: All your students need to do is create combinations of numbers which make ten (1 + 9, 4 + 6) and write down the equations. This a great way not only to practice math, but also to help your students better develop their skill in writing equations.
Give your students a winter-themed math lesson that will make the holidays extra festive this year. It’s a great way to combine learning and fun!

Snowflake Clip Art
This is a set of fun Montessori-inspired snowflakes. Bead bars from the Bead Stair are incorporated into each snowflake design.
Use this Montessori-inspired clip art to make your own digital or printable materials (commercial use is welcome). Brighten up your slideshows, SMART Board lessons, posters, cards, and worksheets with these graphics.
TRY THIS! Insert the images into a Word or Pages file (a 7.5"x7.5" square works well), print them out, and have your children place the actual bead bars on top of the printed snowflake. For an extra challenge they can use the bead bars to recreate the snowflake beside the image.

Pumpkin Counting Mini Book | Reading & Counting Practice | Fall Learning
By Morgan Jeffries
Pumpkin Themed Counting Book Emergent Reader:
This is such a fun fall themed counting activity. I would cut out and staple the pumpkin counting book together beforehand.
There is #3 pages of colorful pumpkins as well as black and white pumpkins. You can have your students practice holding scissors and cut the pumpkins out. Or if they are not ready for that step you can cut them out yourself as well. Once the pumpkins are cut out they will read the sentence and then glue the correct amount of pumpkins to each page. There is a black and white pumpkin book (that you can have your student’s color) as well as a colorful one as well depending on which one you would like to use.
At the end of each book the last page also has an area where they read how many pumpkins should be on each line and then draw the correct amount of pumpkins according to what the number says.

Halloween Number Play-doh Mats | Fall Learning Activities | Math Center

Halloween Themed Number Play-doh Mats & Ten Frames
(Fall Activities)
This is a great fun fall-themed counting activity that helps introduce one-to-one correspondence to your students. I recommend laminating these for better durability and to be able to reuse them.
Your students can use play-doh, candy, (or any other item you would like to use) to form each number and then count the correct amount of items to show the number they formed.
Halloween Patterns - Math Center - Fall Activities
By Morgan Jeffries
Finish The Pattern:
This Halloween-themed math activity focuses on continuing and completing different patterns. It teaches students how to identify a pattern and continue it using different halloween themed items. There are a total of #30 different patterns for your students to complete. This is a great independent math activity for your students during small groups or whenever you want to use it!
I would print and laminate this activity for better durability and then store the remaining halloween pieces in a container of some sort so they don’t get lost after you cut them out.
I hope you and your students enjoy this product!
