It is an independent read for second and third grades but would make an excellent read-aloud for kindergarten and first grade. As they read, students will learn about the life cycle of a robin. In this product, students will learn about thermal energy. In the beginning of the product, matter is reviewed and how matter can be seen in three different forms - solid, liquid, and gas. Students will then review how matter changes. Thermal energy will be introduced in this product. Students will then discuss the meaning of thermal energy, how heat flows from warmer to colder objects and examples will be provided.
