Make speech therapy engaging and festive with this Thanksgiving Craft Speech Therapy activity! This fun Turkey Craft combines language practice with creativity, perfect for classroom or therapy sessions. Instructions for Teachers:

Preparation:

Print the turkey template with blank or labeled feathers.

For a group activity, you can print multiple copies of the feathers with various sounds or blank spaces.

Activity Instructions:

Step 1: Choose a target sound (e.g., /t/) and have students practice saying words like “turkey” and “table.”

Step 2: As students say each word correctly, they can either color in a feather with the target sound or glue a pre-made feather onto the turkey.

Step 3: Repeat this process for different sounds, helping students to build a “Turkey Talk” with their practiced words.

Extensions:

You could create a simpler task for younger students with just a few feathers.
