Directions & Ideas for use...

Black & White Copies:

Print Gameboards B&W, 2 crayons, & provide spinner. Partners take turns. Decide who goes first. You are not moving markers around the gameboard, just follow the path and take your turn answering questions. On your turn, spin spinner, if for example you spin 2, answer the first 2 spaces, if answered correctly color in your 2 spaces with your color. (second chances may be determined before the game starts) If answered incorrectly partner may attempt to answer correctly and if they do they will color the space their color. If both players are incorrect, leave space uncolored or continue to take turns until answered correctly (get out the manipulatives to prove your answer). Then the turn goes to the next player, continue in this manner around the gameboard. When you reach to end, each player counts the number of spaces they captured or colored and the one with the most is the winner!

Colored Laminated Copies:

Follow the directions above, but instead of coloring in the spaces with crayons, use colored cubes for each player to leave on their spaces along the path. When finished they can count their cubes to see whose color has the most.

Adaptions:

•Use 2 colored bingo daubers for B&W copies.

•Choose a different spinner for your game.

•Use a die or number cube and play the game with a playing piece that you move around the board, if you answer incorrectly you have to stay back on the space you were on, first one to the finish wins. Its just that some of the game boards have fewer spaces so using a six sided die the game might be finished too quickly therefore you may want to use the spinner for smaller numbers.

In this Among Us style game, learners have less than 15 seconds to race against the clock to identify the "imposter" math fact. Here's the twist: The possible responses start disappearing after time. Incorrect answers lose points and correct answers earn points. Not only that, the faster learners answer correctly, the more points they earn. Engage your students with this new math fluency card game! Boost multiplication skills through fun multiples games. Quick Draw, also known as Speed is perfect for students in 3rd-5th grade! Ideal for small groups or math stations. Elevate engagement and mastery in minutes! #HALFOFFHALFTIME

In this game the students are counting by multiples of a specific number. For example, with 3s they are playing with cards numbered 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 27, and 30. This game is designed to be played with 2 players but it could also be played with three players.

This resources includes the cards, instructions and a multiples sheet for the multiples of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. There are 4 cards for each multiple, for a total of 40 cards for each game.

2: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20

3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 27, 30

4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40

How to Play:

These rules are the similar to the card game Speed and are the same ones that are included in the document.

1. Deal out fifteen cards from the deck to each player.  This becomes each player’s draw pile.
2. Place two stacks of an additional 5 cards in the center of play.
3. Each player draws 3 cards from their individual draw pile.  This becomes each player’s hand during play.
4. To start play, each player turns over the top card from the stack of 5 cards in the center and places it face up.
5. Players choose a card from their hand that is either a multiple higher or lower than one of the cards in play.  Players can play on either stack and place a card as soon as a number from the player’s hand can be played.  Players do not take turns.
6. As soon as a player places a card, that player draws from their pile so that each player holds 3 cards at all time.  
7. If both players cannot play one of the three cards in their hand, then each player turns over the top card from the 5-card pile and places that card faces up in play.
8. The first player that uses all cards from their individual draw pile wins.

For best durability print the cards on card stock and/or laminate them to ensure extra durability. There are 10 pages that will be printed front and back. See PDF preview to see all cards in this file.

Strike is a game changer in the classroom! My students LOVE earning cards for good behavior and excellent work! I created this game for my classroom. It was such a hit that I thought I would post it for other teachers. The best part about it is that students are using math, reading and strategy skills to play the game (and they don't even realize because they are having FUN!)

When I see students displaying self-control and being proactive, I call them to my desk to grab a card. I have a plastic tub with all cards face down. Once they’ve earned enough cards, they will be able to play Strike with their classmates. When a student is called to my desk, other students do the same in hopes of earning a card as well. It’s a great way to get their attention!

INCLUDED IN THIS SET IS EVOLUTION 1 ONLY.

STRIKE is played like a typical battle game. Each creature has a strength number and ability.

1. To start a duel, players place their stacks of cards face down. (Any number of cards)
2. Players turn over their top card.
3. The player with the highest strength wins UNLESS their points change due to their ability. After adding the ability to the strength number, the highest strength wins both cards.
4. In case of a tie, it’s time to STRIKE! Each player places three cards face down and turn the fourth card over. The winner of that battle wins all the cards.
5. When one person has all the cards, the game is over.

Are your students ready for a spooky multiplication challenge? A mischievous ghost has locked them inside a haunted house, and the only way to escape before midnight is to solve a series of multiplication puzzles!

The Haunted House Multiplication Escape is a low-prep, high-engagement activity that aligns with CCSS.4.NBT.B.5.

What's Included?

• A Haunting Introduction.
• 6 Chilling Clues: including word problems, crossword puzzle and a mix of 2-digit, 3-digit, and 4-digit multiplication problems to test different skill levels.
• Escape Sheet: Students will collect "keys" (cutouts from the correct answer boxes on the clue sheets) and stick them onto the escape sheet throughout the challenge.
• Worksheet: Provide a space for students to show their work and calculations for each clue.
• Answer Key: Keep the game running smoothly.
• Winner's Circle! Celebrate the victorious team with fun certificates or props for a winning photo.

How to prep?

1. Gather Your Supplies: Print out the clue sheets, escape sheet, and worksheet (one copy per group). You'll also need scissors, tape, and a timer (optional: spooky music to set the mood).

2. Prepare the Haunted House: Hide the clue sheets around your classroom or designate specific locations for each clue (envelopes labeled with clue numbers are optional).

3. Assemble Your Teams: Divide your students into groups of 3-4 players.

Let the Escape Begin!

1. Time is Ticking! Set a timer for 40 minutes to create a sense of urgency and excitement.
2. Unlock the Clues: Each group starts at a designated clue (or envelope). Students work together to solve the multiplication challenge and find the answer.
3. Answer Check: Groups come to you to verify their answer using the answer key.
4. Key to Escape: If the answer is correct, students cut out the box at the top right corner of the clue sheet (the "key") then stick the "key" onto their escape sheet.
5. On to the Next Challenge: Once they have the "key," provide the next clue sheet (or envelope) for them to tackle.
6. Escape Achieved! The first group to finish all the clues and fill their escape sheet with "keys" wins the game!
