This product is a writing craft for primary students that is Easter themed. It incorporates writing, drawing and a craft to make a cute resource that would be adorable to use for bulletin boards or to show off student work. This resource could be used as discussion of appropriate characteristics for being a friend to allow students to reflect on themselves for which positive traits are their strengths. This resource allows you to choose between three Easter basket toppers for the book review page. You could allow students to choose which one their want to use, mix and match or choose to only use one. The black and white Easter basket topper could be colored by students to allow them to further personalize this activity.

This resource could be done with a substitute, as a center, whole group, on a Friday when a brain break is needed, as a time filler activity, etc.

It incorporates reading, writing, drawing and a craft to make a cute resource that would be adorable to use for bulletin boards or to show off student work. Students could review a book that was read whole group and complete this activity independently based on their opinion of the book or they could complete this activity on a book of their choosing. This resource allows you to choose between three Easter basket toppers for the book review page. You could allow students to choose which one their want to use, mix and match or choose to only use one. The black and white Easter basket topper could be colored by students to allow them to further personalize this activity.

This resource could be done with a substitute, as a center, whole group, on a Friday when a brain break is needed, as a time filler activity, etc.

This is a writing craft that is Easter/Spring themed but could also work for Valentine's Day. You can choose between two writing prompts for this: a. Some “bunny” loves me! Write about someone special that loves you and then draw a picture of them or b. I love some “bunny!” Write about someone special that you love and then draw a picture of them.

First, have students complete the writing prompt and draw a picture of their loved one. Then, choose between the three attachable bunny characters to create cute writing crafts that would be adorable to hang up in the hallways, in your classroom or to send home for parents to see. You can have all the same bunny characters for your classroom, mix and match or let your students pick which one they'd like for their project!

This is a chutes and ladders style game but features the Easter Bunny and his basket of eggs. This product includes one board game, directions on how to play the game, and 1-9 multiplication/division fact cards. You can choose whether you have your students practice their basic multiplication facts, division facts, or a combination of both. Review skills in an engaging, fun way this Easter! Students will race to be the first one to reach the basket of eggs while practicing math facts along the way.

Directions on how to play: Students will play in pairs. They must create a spinner using a pencil and paperclip. Spin the spinner to find out how many spaces you move. Before moving your game piece, answer one of the equations. If you get it correct, you can move that many spaces forward. If you answer the equation incorrectly, you lose your turn.

If you land on the bunny footsteps, follow them upward to where they end to advance on the board.

If you land on the top of the rainbow, slide down to the space where it ends.

If you land on a space with the broken egg, go back 2 spaces. The first player to reach the basket of eggs at the end wins!

Easter No-Prep Colouring Pages are the best!

I LOVE giving students fun and engaging activities that they don't even realize has them practicing their decoding skills and immersing themselves in the Science of Reading all while having fun!

These quick Easter activity sheets are just what you need for a quick and easy no-prep activity to keep the students happy in those last busy days before the Easter Break.

Students find them challenging and engaging and a whole lot of fun once they realize they can figure out the image as they go. I hope your students enjoy these as much as mine do.

Who can use this resource:

Teachers who are just getting accustomed to using strategies from the Science of Reading can use these simple texts to open up independent practice, small group evaluation, or up on a digital screen for whole group instruction and reading practice.

Make a set and send them home with students to build fluency in reading and confidence in reading strategies.

Pages are designed to build a number of common French sounds and get more challenging as they go on.

Correction sheet is handy for use with a substitute as they can confidently assess students and command the lesson even when they are not assured of their French skills.

What grade level:

I personally use these colouring activities with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

Science of Reading:

These texts are aligned with sounds being taught in any Science of Reading aligned curriculum. They are set up for student success based on the research for increasing reading fluency and building student confidence in the classroom!

This is a set of PART-PART-WHOLE cards Sums to 10 with an Easter theme. You'll get 24 different cards printed 2 on a sheet perfect for math stations or Math Around the Room with 2 recording sheets. You'll also get the same set in black and white. You also get the 24 cards, A-X enlarged in color on a full sheet for use in whole group Math Talk/ Number Talk.

Colored Large Pages, 1 problem per page: Suggested use, Teacher uses the cards during Math Talk/Number Talk, discussion at carpet with whole class or small groups. Using a few cards a day to prompt problem solving discussions and strategies for solving. Students discuss solutions and how they solved the problem. Other students add on to that thinking or share the way they solved it. The pages are enlarged so children can view easier in a whole group.

Other thoughts: Students can write answer only. Write answer as an addition equation only. Write answer as a subtraction equation only. Write both an addition & subtraction equation. Or write all 4 parts of a fact family.

Example: Card B, 4+1=5, 1+4=5, 5-4=1, 5-1=4

Problem-Solving: These cards can be used for creating word problems. Take a card, create your own word problems from the card. Example; Card B There were 4 bunnies hopping through the fields, then some more bunnies joined them. Now there are 5 bunnies in all hopping in the field. How many bunnies joined the group of 4?

Addition Fact Fluency Games EASTER Edition includes 9 EASTER themed board games. There are 9 games in color and the same 9 games in black and white. There are 3 pages of spinners provided in Color and B&W, and an idea/directions page. These Addition Strategy Games are great for Math Centers, Morning Work, Substitute Teachers & Early Finishers! I've provided Black & White copies so you can just PRINT & GO, or you can laminate the colored versions (or slip into a plastic sleeve). There are directions for playing the games that are different than the standard game rules, use whichever you prefer.

Directions & Ideas for use...

Black & White Copies:

Print Gameboards B&W, 2 crayons, & provide spinner. Partners take turns. Decide who goes first. You are not moving markers around the gameboard, just follow the path and take your turn answering questions. On your turn, spin spinner, if for example you spin 2, answer the first 2 spaces, if answered correctly color in your 2 spaces with your color. (second chances may be determined before the game starts) If answered incorrectly partner may attempt to answer correctly and if they do they will color the space their color. If both players are incorrect, leave space uncolored or continue to take turns until answered correctly (get out the manipulatives to prove your answer). Then the turn goes to the next player, continue in this manner around the gameboard. When you reach to end, each player counts the number of spaces they captured or colored and the one with the most is the winner!

Colored Laminated Copies:

Follow the directions above, but instead of coloring in the spaces with crayons, use colored cubes for each player to leave on their spaces along the path. When finished they can count their cubes to see whose color has the most.

Adaptions:

•Use 2 colored bingo daubers for B&W copies.

•Choose a different spinner for your game.

•Use a die or number cube and play the game with a playing piece that you move around the board, if you answer incorrectly you have to stay back on the space you were on, first one to the finish wins. Its just that some of the game boards have fewer spaces so using a six sided die the game might be finished too quickly therefore you may want to use the spinner for smaller numbers.
