They then get to draw a literal meaning of the picture for everyone to giggle at. Then at the bottom of the page they write what the idiom really means. CKLA Unit 5 Editable Focus Board - 3rd Grade | ELA | Science of Reading

CKLA follows the Science of Reading. Many schools are moving to the Science of Reading and adopting curricula like CKLA however not purchasing printable resources. I have found myself in the same spot. As I work through this curriculum I am making resources to help other teachers navigate CKLA and what they need in their classrooms to be successful.
