Show Me the Money!

The Money Combinations Activity is a great addition for students to practice combining money. This product is a fantastic activity for Math Centers, Whole Class Activity, Partner Practice, or Individualized fun! Students will have different Sorting Mats to show one amount of money, using four different combinations of coins (teachers can set the goal for students to use the least amount of coins/dollar bills). Students will love to challenge themselves to find a common sum with different coin values combined. Laminate the four sorting mats, the amount of money tabs, and the coin templates. Keep all the products in a zip lock bags to re-use year after year.

• If a player wants to put their piece in a space with a question, they must clear it first. Click on the question symbol and then on one of the question cards (red cards for beginners and blue cards for more challenging times) The questions will be displayed randomly among the selected set questions. Answer correctly to keep playing and place your disc; otherwise, you lose your turn.
• Answers will be displayed both on a digital clock, and in written and spoken form, both in their British and American ways.
• The game ends with a 4-in-a-row or a stalemate.
• The previous game's starter goes second in the next game.
• Among the 42 spaces, there are 25 question symbols. Seventeen spaces do not require answering questions to place a disc.

Please note that there are two sets of questions:

1. Beginner Set of 24 questions (Red cards): These questions are designed for beginners and only display clocks set to o'clock and half past times.

2. Advanced Set of 58 questions (Blue cards): This set features more challenging questions with clocks showing any possible time.

Feel free to use these sets to tailor the difficulty level of the game according to the player's skills.

Important Note:

This resource is a PowerPoint file with enabled Macros. Please do not purchase this resource if you do not have experience with this type of file or if you are wary of them. Word Problems with Length scoot activity is a wonderful review for your math students. Students work through each of the task cards to develop stronger math skills. Use as a scoot activity or center activity. Recording sheet and answer key are included. CCSS 2.MD.5 Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve word problems involving length.

Measurement - Included in this measurement activity download is 18 measurement cards. Cut out and set up in your classroom that students can go from one card to another and record their measurement. Students work individually or in groups to measure 1 card and when the teacher calls “scoot” students move to the next card. This continues until all 18 cards have been recorded. I’ve included answer keys to support different way to measure (non-standard and standard). **This product has been updated so that the measurements line up to the nearest inch. To adjust the measurement for other units, I recommend printing and extending the lines with a sharpie** CCSS.Math.Content.2.MD.A.1 Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes. Bar Graphs- answer questions about a bar graph and create your own bar graph by counting up the different items you see. Pictograph- answer questions about the given pictograph and create your own with the data given on the worksheet. Line plot- answer the questions about the line plot and create your own line plot by measuring the different snowflakes and then plotting them on the line plot.
