With individual tabs for each student, you can easily track progress and analyze data for your entire class or caseload, making it easy to create accurate IEP goals and share data with parents or administrators. The workbooks even feature automatic tracking of missed words for targeted practice, and student and class average or median graphs to demonstrate progress throughout the year.

For more intensive high frequency word tracking, check out these Google Sheets™ workbooks for progress monitoring individual students!

What is included in each Google Sheets™ workbook:

  • CLASS AVERAGE AND MEDIAN GRAPHS: Two graphs that show the overall average and median growth across the six reporting periods, with a trend line to demonstrate whether student high-frequency word recall is increasing or decreasing.
  • ASSESSOR PROBES: Each student (up to 40) will have a tab within the workbook with six assessments per tab. Simply check the missed words to calculate words read correctly. Missed words are also tracked and added to the "Words to Practice" box and the student graph!
  • STUDENT PROBES: Two versions (horizontal and vertical) of the student probe can be printed right from the workbook! Font type and size can be adjusted to meet your needs!
  • STUDENT DATA: Each student has a separate tab with a data sheet that includes a graph demonstrating progress and a list of missed words for each reporting period. This makes it easy to share student progress with parents or create targeted intervention resources!

Set 3: Words 451-475

Set 4: Words 476-500

How they work:

Check the missed word on the assessor probe to AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATE WORDS READ CORRECTLY and ACCURACY. All data is copied to the student data sheet and WORDS READ CORRECTLY are GRAPHED!

Please see DIRECTIONS included in preview for full explanation of the process.

Student probes are provided in THREE FORMATS (PDF, Google Slides, and PowerPoint) to print or display.

FUN, COLORFUL OVERLAYS are included to help guide students’ eyes if you chose to present the student probes digitally.

What is included in each zip file:

· A PDF with force copy links to the Google Sheet Digital Assessor Probes, Data Tracking, and Graph as well as a force copy link to the Google Slides version of the twenty student probes.

Sample Goals:

The student will demonstrate an improvement in their ability to recall the most common regular and irregularly spelled words as measured by a curriculum-based measurement in high-frequency word recall from a baseline score of 23% correct to a goal score of 95% correct by June 6, 2022.

When given a curriculum-based measurement depicting 25 regular and irregularly spelled words, the student will read the words with 98% accuracy in 4 out of 5 trials.
