French Decodable texts BUNDLE that aligns with the Science of Reading are a NO PREP printable activity for the K-2 French classroom. Students practice endoding and decoding skills and build confidence in reading.

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. The Graphic Novel, Camp By Kayla Miller is a must read for students. My students enjoyed this book because it is a book about friendship, solving problems, trying new things, and growing up as they navigate middle school. This book does not have chapters, so comprehension questions were separated by pages. Therefore, written comprehension skills are emphasized while reading.

The 2010 movie, Ramona and Beezus makes a connection with the books written by Beverly Cleary. Students can see Ramona and Beezus as they are at home and school. Students will discuss problem solving skills, the importance of being creative and being yourself, being a good friend, accepting others for who they are, accepting change, working together as a family, while Ramona gets into mischief and has fun.

The short answer comprehension questions and the multiple choice comprehension questions in this product relate with the movie as well as students own experiences.

Students can answer these comprehension questions as they watch the movie or after they have finished the movie.
