20 Questions French Game - La Saint Patrick - St. Patrick's Day Game - Printable
By Love Learning Languages - French Resources
20 Questions French Game - La Saint Patrick - St. Patrick's Day Game - Printable Use this game to have students practice forming questions and speaking French using vocabulary for St. Patrick's Day in French. No prep, just print and you're ready to go! Included: French and English version French only version Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and do a whole class activity. This game includes 40 words. Many of the words will be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word. EST-CE QUE……. … tu es une personne? … tu es un animal? … tu es un minéral? … tu es un endroit? … tu es un aliment? … tu es une plante? … tu es un objet? The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: OUI - NON - PARFOIS - RAREMENT - GÉNÉRALEMENT - PEUT-ÊTRE - CELA DÉPEND - PROBABLEMENT Alternative game play: To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

Math Mystery- Case of the Leprechaun's Lost Loot (Area)
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This is a math mystery that is specifically aligned to the 3rd grade Engage NY and Eureka math module 4 on area. This resource would also be a great for review of area for 4th grade students prior to the state test. This resource includes a scenario, a suspect list, 5 clues that students will solve to find the culprit and answers keys to all pages. Area concepts practiced in this are: determining multiplying length x width, determining area using tiling, finding the missing side length, find area of irregular shapes by decomposing rectangles and area word problems.
This resource would be great to use as a review before the end of module assessment, before state tests, as a math lesson to leave for a substitute teacher, uses individual clues as daily center work over the course of a week, etc.
My students absolutely love doing these! They especially love predicting who the culprit is prior to beginning the clues to see if they could guess it correctly!
"If I Had a Pot of Gold" Writing Prompt and Craft for St. Patrick's Day
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This resources includes a writing prompt that attaches to an editable leprechaun to make a cute craft that can be hung up outside the classroom, on a bulletin board or sent home. The writing prompt itself comes in two forms to accommodate younger students needs. The primary format has large primary lines to help students work on letter formation as well as includes a space for students to draw a picture of what they drew. The upper elementary style only includes lines that are spaced out to accommodate students with larger handwriting. This would be a great craft on or near St. Patrick's Day. This could be a center activity, whole group work, done with a substitute or as a time filler activity.
Ultimate Leprechaun Layout Project Using Area
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This resource would be a fun, engaging way for students to practice using area concepts with basic multiplication to create the best layout for the interior of a leprechaun house. The goal is for students to include the four required pieces (bed, couch, table and two chairs), and to then include as many of the optional extras as possible to create the most magical leprechaun home that they can.
This resource would be a fun activity to do on or near St. Patrick's Day. It could be used as a whole group activity, center work, a time filler, an activity to leave for a substitute, etc.
Find Your Leprechaun Name Writing Prompt and Editable Leprechaun Character
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This resource is a St. Patrick's Day writing prompt where students will first use the charts to determine their leprechaun name and symbol based on the beginning letters in their name as well as the month that they were born. They would then complete the writing prompt using this information. The writing prompt is "Using the chart below, find your leprechaun name and symbol. Then, write a story about your life as a leprechaun or about what you would do if you were a leprechaun." Students will be excited to writing about this prompt especially after having determined their leprechaun name!
There are three styles on paper included with this to accommodate for student handwriting needs. You can choose the best that suits your students or use a mixture of the papers for individual students.
This resource also includes an editable template so that you can turn your students into leprechauns. The leprechaun characters and writing prompts would make for a great display or bulletin board as St. Patrick's Day approaches.
Use this resource as center work, a whole group activity on St. Patrick's Day, a time filler, as a writing lesson, etc.

Students will race to be the first one to reach while the pot of gold while practicing math facts along the way.

How to Catch a Leprechaun Book Companion Activities for K-5
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This resource is book companion activities to use after reading the book "How To Catch a Leprechaun" by Adam Wallace. It includes a writing prompting asking students to draw the perfect leprechaun trap, list the materials they'll need and then to tell why it is the perfect trap. This activity comes in two formats, a primary and an upper elementary version to accommodate all elementary students. It also includes four drawing activities where students will try to draw the image in the grid on the empty grid the best that they can. Lastly, it also includes a handwriting page that has students trace nine words/phrases from the book and then rewrite them on the line independently.
