This is a chutes and ladders style game bundle for the following holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter. This product includes six game boards, directions on how to play each holiday version of the game, and 1-9 multiplication/division fact cards. You can choose whether you have your students practice their basic multiplication facts, division facts, or a combination of both. Review skills in an engaging, fun way for each holiday! Students will race to be the first one to reach the end while practicing math facts along the way.

Directions on how to play: Students will play in pairs. They must create a spinner using a pencil and paperclip. Spin the spinner to find out how many spaces you move. Before moving your game piece, answer one of the equations. If you get it correct, you can move that many spaces forward. If you answer the equation incorrectly, you lose your turn. Follow the directions on how to play for each game board.

It seems like every day is National (insert cool thing here) Day. I decided to look into these holidays to bring some fun and excitement back to informational passages. The best part about these units though... they are EASILY enrichable! For example, practicing some yoga with Cosmic Yoga for Kids on YouTube for World Yoga Day, or writing your own fairy tale for National Tell a Fairy Tale Day!

My class has had such a fun time reading these passages and celebrating something each day.

In this unit, you will be given 29 informational passages with text dependent questions requiring short answer responses. Each holiday matches a day in the month of February (the student-appropriate ones).

Please consider that not every day has a holiday that is school appropriate. Not every holiday remains on the same day each year.

All passages are informational based, usually with a history on the day and whatever is being celebrated. Passages have 4-6 questions with a few skills being met:

• asking and answering questions
• main idea
• key details
• making connections
• context clues
• author's POV vs reader's POV

Similar format throughout the unit so students get familiar with text structure and routine quickly. This document has the passage on top with the questions below.

This product is a differentiated math mystery that is aligned with the 4th-grade Engage NY/Eureka math curriculum. It includes a scenario explaining what the problem is- an angry mayor has canceled Christmas for the town after being hit with a snowball during his speech at the annual Christmas lighting. The product has a suspect list of 10 people, and 5 clues that narrow down the suspect list to just one person. Each clue has a worksheet A & B and an answer key for all worksheets. Worksheet A for each clue aligns with the standards but at a lower level for students who struggle with this skill. Worksheet B is a more challenging version for higher-level students to offer enrichment. Worksheets A & B look the same; they have the same appearance clues and the letters are in the same spot on the equations.
