Need an awesome Movement Activity? I have just the thing for you! This creative Conscious Discipline “Breathing Pose” resource was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use one of these images per day or per week, so these resources can last a while. Focus on the specific animal shown and discuss where this animal would be and how it would breathe and pose to gain focus. Make sure you demonstrate the pose with your class. Ask a student to help demonstrate this pose, and the sillier you are, yet focused, the more the students will want to participate with you in each of these fun and motivating animal breathing poses. This product includes 1 social story that focuses on spreading rumors. Vocabulary that is reviewed and discussed in depth include - spreading rumors, positive self-esteem, negative self-esteem, gossiping, reputation, and the expression - fight fire with fire.
Students will also learn about the following - how spreading rumors can impact self-esteem, how you will feel when you have positive self-esteem, how you will feel when you have negative self-esteem, how to build self-esteem, how one would feel if a rumor was spread about them or how one would feel if they spread a rumor and the person that spread a rumor found out, the negative impacts of spreading rumors, what to do if someone spreads a rumor about you, and 1 social story that focuses on a student spreading a rumor about another student supposedly cheating off his test.
The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. This product encourages students to understand the negative impacts spreading rumors may have, how someone would feel if a rumor was spread about them, and a mature way to how to handle a situation when a rumor is spread.

What is Physical Fitness Adapted Notes and Review

In this product about physical fitness, students will learn about the different sports and activities that they can participate in, students will learn about the benefits of physical activity, blood pressure - things that can increase blood pressure and what blood pressure is, health fitness reviews - heart, lungs, muscles, and joints and how to maintain each of these is reviewed, cardiorespiratory endurance and the meaning is reviewed, what the heart rate is and students will also learn how to determine their heart rate, students will learn how they can improve cardiorespiratory endurance at home or in school, students will also learn what muscular endurance is, how to improve it, and the benefits of improving muscular endurance, what is flexibility and examples of how to be flexible, what is body composition, fat tissue, and lean tissue and how they are important in the body, students will learn about muscular strength and what they can do to improve muscular strength. Students will also learn about the 6 major fitness skills are, their meanings, and examples - agility, balance, coordination, reaction time, speed, and power, what the President's challenge is and what events are included in this event are all covered. Different kinds of workouts are discussed and reviewed along with examples - low-intensity physical activities, moderate-intensity physical activities, and vigorous-intensity physical activities and how they differ from each other, aerobic activities and examples, the process of a workout is reviewed - the warm up, target heart rate, specific exercises, training, overload, progression, and frequency, and what each of these terms mean. Students will also learn what FIIT means - Frequency, intensity, time, and type of exercise, and the importance of setting health goals - students will have time to do this in this product.
Throughout the product, students will answer comprehension questions that relate with the material that is carried out on each slide. Students can complete this as a group, independently, with a partner.
