Arthur's Off to School is a great book for students to read to discuss a morning routine, to discuss similarities and differences between friends, being responsible, being a good friend, brother, and sister, etc. Students are presented with a variety of comprehension questions based on what happens in the book, Arthur's Off to School. Students can answer these questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished.

When a story begins “Once upon a time”, you can be fairly sure that it is a traditional tale. These stories have been told for centuries, and have some common elements. Some of the elements you might find in a traditional tale are; a magical setting, talking animals, good and evil characters, and a happy ending.

There is much we can learn by reflecting on the stories heard in childhood. The graphic novel, Queen Bee written by Chynna Clugston is entertaining and suspenseful. This book encourages my on-level as well as struggling readers to want to read. Students will like this book at the upper elementary, middle school and high school level, because the main characters not only have the ability to show the reader their super powers, but students can also relate to the main characters as they navigate school and developing friendships as well. Upon reading each chapter, students can answer the comprehension questions with help or independently. When students are finished reading this book, they can answer the questions about their favorite character, the plot, setting, etc. as well.

BINGO is a great way to reinforce learning and kids LOVE playing Bingo! This set is Christmas Contraction Bingo and has 30 different cards. I have also made tokens to cover spaces. For those without access to a color printer I have made a black and white version as well. You can print on card stock or laminate for durability.

As students are learning the ULTIMATE 260 - 4th grade sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence, and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using each newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the 4th grade sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is rather lengthy, so instead of printing it out, you can display it for the entire class to see as well. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.

Looking for a fun and creative book report? This Board Game Book Report is PERFECT! Students work with a partner or in groups of three. They roll a dice and move that number of spaces in any direction. They will read the space and report to their partner about their book. EXAMPLE: If they land on "Author" they tell their partner the author of their book and their partner writes it on the report. (Each person is reporting on the other person's book by listening and writing what their partner communicates to them.) The game is over after the reports are finished!
