Working on nonfiction text features in your reading / ELA classes? These task cards for text features make a GREAT review resource! They also work very well for games such as Scoot or Jeopardy, individual seat work, and for stations or centers. You get 48 cards in all. All cards are multiple choice. The first 24 cards are questions that involve all text. They include definitions and a few application questions. The purpose of this scavenger hunt is to familiarize/support students in using text clues to determine the subject of a book.

How to use:

* Print, laminate and cut each card.. You will need a pile of picture books and a selection of nonfiction books. Make sure you have books that will answer each of the task cards, and some extras that don’t match any. You may also wish to select books that could meet the requirement of more than one task card.
