As students are learning the 46 - 2nd grade sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence, and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using each newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the 2nd grade sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.

My students are confusing them for each other continuously. The words there, their, and they're are emphasized in this product. Students will determine if there, their, and they're belong in each sentence, circle the correct use of the word there, their, and they're in sentences, write sentences using there, their, and they're when looking at different picture scenarios, and will write there, their, or they're to complete each sentence. Students are provided space to make up their own sentences using there, their, and they're as well.

Students will review/learn facts and vocabulary about what a forecast and meteorologist are, what a biography is and if it is comparable to a fiction or nonfiction text, review vocabulary words and their pictures that are present in the text, different kinds of clouds, learn about the author and the illustrator, and students will write a weather journal. Students will answer comprehension questions using this product. They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. Selection vocabulary words, their meanings, and an example of them used in a sentence is included in this product. Students will have the opportunity to make up their own sentences for each selection vocabulary word as well. The questions from the text are adapted in this packet to meet each of your student's needs. At the end of the packet, students will answer comprehension questions about the author and illustrator.

The book, The Amazing Days of Abby Hayes - Every Cloud has a Silver Lining is a great book for students. Abby is figuring out who she is, what she likes, not giving up and persevering through difficult situations, how to feel a sense of self accomplishment and being proud of who she is, which is a great read for students as they figure out these parts of their life. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text and each chapter. Students will have the opportunity to answer questions about the main character, Abby and what she is dealing with as she navigates school as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and example sentences are presented in the packet. Students can also write sentences using the vocabulary words. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. Words that students may need help with spelling when answering comprehension questions are provided in this product as well. Each chapters questions are divided up throughout this product.

As students are learning the ULTIMATE 260 - 4th grade sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence, and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using each newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the 4th grade sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is rather lengthy, so instead of printing it out, you can display it for the entire class to see as well. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.
