CORE FRENCH | FSL | BUNDLE/ENSEMBLE | GAMES + UNITS | JEUX + UNITÉS | ALL AGES
By French Made Fun!
You've asked and I've listened. This mega bundle is now available in a zipped format, and you can find that here. If you prefer not to use a Google Drive for your files, head this way!
If you teach Core French (FSL) to grades 4-8 and struggle to engage, interest and get them excited about French, then this is the bundle for you. It contains every single Core French product from my store.
My students have been known as low-level and require high levels of engagement. My products match that and are ready to be used, require no prep and are quick and easy to project and GO.
Check out the preview to see what you'll get from this mega bundle which will cover you for the year!
CORE FRENCH | FSL | SEASONS & WEATHER | SAISONS ET TEMPS | MÉTÉO | 125 PAGES
By French Made Fun!
This beefy 125+ page unit on weather and seasons is perfect for your older Core French students who might not have had the luxury of learning this vocabulary and these concepts when they were supposed to. This product (and my other Core French products) are built for exactly that demographic: middle school kids who are too old and "too mature" (so they think!) to be learning these babyish concepts. If this sounds like your demographic -- WELCOME! Look no further.
I teach with a game-based model, and within this unit, you'll have full guided lesson plans showing you how to engage them at every step of the way. This document is divided in two parts: One Slide Deck features interactive games and instructional materials, and a second Slide Deck features all of your lesson plans (including classroom management suggestions, alternative plans, and differentiated models), worksheets, project instructions + success criteria, flashcards + printable games, templates, activities, and word wall vocabulary. I am not your run-of-the-mill crossword puzzles, "find-a-word" and "coloring contest" gal - these games are high energy, encourage movement and will get them (seriously) speaking in French.
Specifically, I cover (in-depth!) everything they need to know about *seasons*(including the verbs we use to talk about seasons - faire, manger, boire, porter), temperatures, weather, seasonal activities, clothing we wear in different seasons, food and drink we enjoy in different seasons, months of the year, days, etc.
Activities and games you'll find included in this mega-unit:
4 Coins (or Tapette à mouche) - featuring review material on seasons.
Énigmes - seasonal riddles.
In-depth explanation with examples and practice prompts for:
Le verbe "faire" - and the situations where we use it in context in the present tense.
Le verbe "manger" - and how to use it in context in the present tense.
Le verbe "boire" - and how we use it in context in the present tense.
Le verbe "porter" - and how we use it in context in the present tense.
"Quel temps fait-il?" - a super fun interactive whole group whiteboard game where your students will click and be directed through a series of questions - testing their knowledge about meteorological conditions!
"Charades saisonnières" - with explanation and guided prompts (for you!)
"La poésie saisonnière" - A poetry-writing exercise on using our 5 senses.
A seasonal activities matching game.
A reflexive writing activity on seasonal preferences.
"Des vêtements parfaits" - A worksheet for students to create their dream outfit for their favorite season (#OOTD!)
A "J'ai... Qui a?" Card game with 28 cards featuring weather, seasons, days of the week and relevant vocabulary to this unit (and a guide sheet for you to make sure it runs smoothly!)
"Mon cahier sur la météo" - A simple 2-page look into the daily weather and temperature that students can complete independently or as homework.
Centres activities with direction for you on leading them. Centres include:
An English-French matching game
A trivia round
Weather charades
Season riddles
Success criteria for final project, "Ma bande dessinée saisonnière," in which students create a comic strip featuring all 4 seasons and their changes. It comes with worksheets, templates and brainstorming prompts.
A printable, cut-out word wall featuring 57 words to add to your current wall.

CORE FRENCH | FSL | PROF DU JOUR | DAILY ROUTINE | GAMES + COMMUNICATION PROMPTS
By French Made Fun!
Classroom management in a middle school Core French classroom can be dicey! That's why I engage my students as much as possible to keep em' on their toes! Prof du jour is a part of my everyday routine, where a different student each day is given the opportunity to lead the discussions with their peers and to give them confidence in French. Sit back and watch the magic!
This isn't just a run-of-the-mill calendar! My Prof du jour is at the command desk and interacts with their peers and the Google Slides. Here are some activities that my Grades 4, 5 and 6 students actively use found in this document:
Complete Calendar (drag & drop icons) for SEPTEMBER 2024 - JUNE 2025.
Weather, time of day, days of the week, and terms like "yesterday," "today," and "tomorrow."
Two versions available: One has the Sunday start and another has the Monday start, depending on how you prefer to view your calendar with your students.
A Wheel Decide question prompter (which you can edit by removing or adding questions your students are working on).
An "I SPY" prompter (a favorite in ALL of my classes).
A "GUESS WHO?" prompter.
A Franco DJ Music activity (great for explaining why they like/dislike something with sentence starters).
In addition to the calendar: This resource provides 27 fresh and fun ideas that can be easily incorporated into your lessons, designed to give students the opportunity to step into the role of "Prof du jour" and lead their peers in interactive activities.
These activities are perfect for students in Grades 4 to 8 and will foster an engaging, positive classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing their French language skills. Whether you want to boost participation, improve active listening, or simply add some energy to your class, these ideas are versatile and adaptable to different classroom dynamics. With no prep required, they can be used spontaneously to keep students on their toes and excited to take part.
How This Resource Benefits Your Classroom:
What’s Included:
In addition to your yearly calendar with interactive daily slides, this resource provides a list of 30 easy-to-implement activities, including:
Why Teachers Will Love It:
How to Use:
Simply choose an activity, explain it briefly to the "Prof du jour," and let them take the lead. Each activity is designed to be intuitive and easy to facilitate, so even without notice, the student leader can jump into their role confidently. You can rotate the "Prof du jour" daily or weekly, giving every student the opportunity to shine and grow in their speaking abilities.
