Student Engaging Fluency Board Races: Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers

Review and practice in a fun, competitive way:
Students will race the teacher (or other leader) to convert improper fractions into mixed numbers. Students love competing against one another and the teacher. Teachers love a quick practice of foundational skills.
My students loved trying to beat me and earn the title of leader to then have students try to beat them!
This is a quick way to begin a lesson and review a skill at the same time. Quick engagement!

In this form students will use a real-world example of a monthly budget and saving goal. Students will use their learned knowledge of incomes and expenses to identify these items in the monthly budget. Students will practice identifying and calculating the amount of money needed for the desired expense and calculating how much money will need to be saved each month in order to attain the expense. Students will also examine the given budget to calculate the individual total income, expenses, money saved, and identify additional ways for individuals to save.

FREEBIE Adding Fractions with unlike Denominators Scavenger Hunt

Are your students struggling to master fractions? This fractions with unlike denominator online activity is designed to help students step by step solve fractions and master adding fractions.
Practicing adding fractions with unlike denominators will be so much fun! This activity is no-prep and easy to use.
In this worksheet students solve 20 problems by adding proper and improper fractions with unlike denominators.
Students need to write down all the steps in order to solve each addition.
It is self checking: if a term is wrong it will become red, students get immediate feedback so they can correct the misconceptions before they become a more permanent part of their thinking.
If all the steps are correct a digital sticker will appear.
If, after some problems, the students wanted to work faster, they can skip the first and/or second step and the sticker will still appear.
If you prefer them to use paper and pencil a printable version is also included.
After this activity your students are most likely to master this topic.
Showing your work is so important in math.
You can also use it for sub-plans, enrichment/reinforcement, early finishers, extra practice and spiral review.

Mystery Pixel Art | Order of Operations | Digital Math Activity | Free Review

There is Pemdas Among Us! Students are tasked to solve the equations, using Orders of Operations. Once students have typed in the correct answer, the box will turn green, and the image will start to appear. If there answer is "sus", they will box will turn red.
