ESL - Sports and Sight Words Sentences Practice Workbook

In this product, students will learn 23 different English sports vocabulary words.
Students will unscramble the given sentences that emphasize the 23 different sports vocabulary words and the verbs - play, go to, will go, and went. After students unscramble each sentence, they will be required to make up a sentence stating if they like or dislike each sport.
At the end of the product, students will have the opportunity to answer questions regarding what their favorite and least favorite sport is. Students will also be asked to make up a sentence using the following words: I like, I dislike, I go to, I play, I will go, and I went.

This book series is great for children ages 5 - 10, as they can relate with what Harry, Doug and their friends experience as they are growing up and helping each other. The book, Horrible Harry and the Missing Diamond, discusses how Harry goes about locating his teacher's missing diamond. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Images are located throughout packet to help students answer questions. Vocabulary words and their meanings are presented in the packet. Students can also write vocabulary words in sentences. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. Words that students may need help spelling when answering comprehension questions are provided in this product as well.
Novel Study- Main Idea and Detail, Text Connections

This was used for The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Bevelery Cleary, but could be used for any chapter book. Students write in chapter number and name. While the chapter is being read, they fill in: -Text-to-Self Connections -Text-to-Text Connections -Text-to-World Connections The students then fill in the main idea and three supporting details. This can be done in whole group, small group or individual. Enjoy!
