This is a fun, engaging and creative activity which promotes self-awareness and emotional literacy. Students are encouraged to explore each of the individual scenarios and reflect on the corresponding feelings. There are a total of 15 sets of paired mittens.

This activity fosters emotional literacy by supporting students to:

- Understand emotions

- Empathise with others and their experiences

- Associate and attribute the feelings to the correct source

- Express emotions constructively

Creative Intervention to support anxious children to let go of their worries with the help of their worry tree.

This project is a creative way for children to identify and acknowledge their anxieties. Sometimes we all carry around worries. They might be about school, home, friendships or even changes in our life. This activity encourages children to think about their worries and put them on their own worry tree. They can write down all of their worries and put them on the tree so that they don’t need to carry these worries around with them anymore. When the worries have been placed on the tree, it opens up discussion around strategies and ways that they can cope with that worry.

Therapeutic Intervention for Teenagers to explore situations and decisions from a number of different perspectives. This resource encourages students to move outside their default thinking style and helps them self-reflect and move towards a more rounded and robust viewpoint. This is a great resource for teenagers with anger management, conflict resolution, limited personal insight and emotional regulation difficulties. Teaching children to cultivate a foundation of compassion, gratitude, confidence & self-love needs to start at a young age. This counseling creative activity encourages children to create their own “Self-Care” snowman. This craft encourages children to reflect and explore who they are, including their qualities & attributes and what makes them unique and special.

What to do:

- Cut out the various snowman parts (head, body, accessories etc.)

- Glue snowman together.
