$5 - $10 5th Grade Summer Projects

Are you and your students dreaming of summer break? Why not engage them in this project-based learning activity and watch them light up with excitement about the possibilities of travel? Students are given a $5,000 budget and are tasked with planning their dream summer vacation. This resource has imperative soft skills embedded such as research, creating well-organized presentations, and budgeting.

Students are tasked with:

• Research: choosing a city and country and completing a country research section. Country research includes population, flag, food, music, famous native, safety, and more!
• Planning: choosing flights, lodging, and transportation
• Writing: blog entries and postcards home
• Organizing: creating an itinerary of activities within the given budget
