5th Grade Fractions Review Game - Game Show Style
By The M-Intercept
Students will love this Jeopardy-like game to review all 5th Grade Common Core Fractions standards. Questions focus on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, understanding major fraction concepts, and key vocabulary words. Points range from 100 - 500, which reflect the increase in difficulty throughout each category.
**FULLY EDITABLE** While the game is complete, it is also editable in PowerPoint, making it easy to add questions or change the level of difficulty based on your students' needs.
The game includes 30 high quality questions - 6 categories with 5 questions each ranging in difficulty from basic review (100) to challenging (500)
⭐Equivalent Fractions: these questions are related to simplifying fractions and converting between whole, mixed, and improper fractions
⭐Understand Fraction Concepts: this category asks about fractions on a number line, the relationship between numerators and denominators, and other conceptual topics
⭐Add and Subtract Fractions: students solve problems related to addition and subtraction with unlike denominators, using models, and in word problems
⭐Multiply Fractions: these questions involve computation, modeling, and word problems for basic multiplying fractions problems (only simple fractions, no mixed numbers)
⭐Divide Fractions: students are asked to estimate, understand equivalent multiplication problems, and solve division problems with whole numbers being divided by a unit fraction
⭐Vocabulary: this sections asks about numerators, denominators, equivalent fractions, mixed numbers, and operation vocabulary (sum, difference, product, quotient)

Fraction BINGO (Simplifying & Equivalent) Digital & Print Heart-Themed
By SPO Resources
Practice and review simplifying fractions and finding equivalent fractions with this BINGO game. Perfect for math centers or whole group games during all of February. The game includes 3 differentiated levels of calling cards and 30 different heart BINGO boards available in digital and print. Use the digital option to play virtually or as a no-prep paperless option.
The following formats are included:
★Fraction BINGO boards- 30 (digital & print)
★3 Differentiated levels of calling cards (digital & print)
★Blank Bingo Board Template
★Teacher Directions for Use
******************************************************************************************
Use these heart BINGO boards to practice simplifying fractions and finding equivalent fractions with students.
The BINGO boards all contain fractions in their simplest form. The calling cards are fractions that need to be reduced to their simplest form.
Students find the greatest common factor of each fraction and divide both the numerator and denominator by the GCF to find their answer.
Differentiated levels to meet the range of ability levels in your class. Work your way through the levels as students become more fluent in the skill of simplifying fractions.
SAVE TIME and ENERGY creating engaging math centers or review games. Use the digital versions for a paperless no prep option. With multiple levels for play, this game can be a staple activity for math centers during the month of February.

Differentiated Calling Card Levels
Calling cards are differentiated by level. Simplifying fractions and finding equivalent fractions can be difficult for students. The differentiated levels will scaffold the skill as students build understanding and fluency with the concept of simplifying fractions.
★Level 1- Double the Simplified form (x2)
All calling cards in this level have a GCF of 2. The calling cards are double the simplified form. Students find the answer by dividing the calling card by 2/2. This level will help students gain an initial understanding of simplifying fractions and finding equivalent fractions.
★Level 2- Mixed Set 1: (x2, x3, or x5 simplified form)
All calling cards in this level have a GCF of 2, 3, or 5. This level is designed to build off the previous level, but still scaffold the skill. Students only need to choose from 3 factors to find their answer.
★Level 3- Mixed Challenging Set
This level contains a mixture of fraction call cards that have factors ranging from 2-10. This is the most challenging level as students will have a range of factors to choose from when simplifying the fraction.
All fraction boards include 24 fractions in their simplest form with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, & 12.
*****************************************************************************************************
WHO? This set is designed for fourth and fifth-grade students learning to find equivalent fractions by reducing a fraction to the simplest form.
Common Core Aligned to 4th grade Number & Operations- Fraction Standard:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.NF.A.1
Explain why a fraction a/b is equivalent to a fraction (n × a)/(n × b) by using visual fraction models, with attention to how the number and size of the parts differ even though the two fractions themselves are the same size. Use this principle to recognize and generate equivalent fractions.
Activity supports 5th grade Number & Operations- Fraction Standard:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.5.NF.A.1
Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators (including mixed numbers) by replacing given fractions with equivalent fractions in such a way as to produce an equivalent sum or difference of fractions with like denominators. For example, 2/3 + 5/4 = 8/12 + 15/12 = 23/12. (In general, a/b + c/d = (ad + bc)/bd.)
