A great digital research and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to Anne Frank and some of the key events of World War 2. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 43 posters or task cards that include many of the key events from her life, from her birth, her time in the annex, to her time spent in the concentration camps and her eventual death alongside her sister.

The research and sorting activity is differentiated into two levels: with dates and without dates. Lower level students can sort the events using the dates, whilst higher level students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline.

Anne Frank Biography Writing Unit Digital & Print | 5th Grade & 6th Grade

This is a biography writing unit about one of the most famous victims of the Holocaust and young diarist during World War II, Anne Frank. The unit has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. The Google Slides activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in 5th grade or 6th grade learning about World History, World War 2, or for Women's History Month.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students reading facts, and then sorting and ordering these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to type four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson they need to choose the most important facts and incude these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before typing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs before typing up their work on to the template provided.

Famous Women in STEM WebQuest & Word Search Puzzle | Distance Learning

In this lesson, students learn interesting facts about women who were involved with STEM careers and their contributions as they complete a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic. A complete answer key is provided for the WebQuest for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students. The student questions are included in both a print version and a digital (editable) version to make it easy for students to complete the lesson digitally or on paper. Also included with this lesson is a word search puzzle that includes an answer key, perfect for early finishers or as a part of the lesson.

This lesson is intended to be an introduction to the topic and was designed for middle school (grades 6-8) but could be used in upper elementary or high school as well. This is also a great lesson to leave for a substitute teacher!

A biography writing unit about the life of famous female aviator and the first woman to fly across the Atlantic solo, Amelia Earhart. The NO PREP unit has been split into four separate lessons and is perfect for students in fifth grade or sixth grade. Students will learn about the famous figure whilst working on their comprehension skills and developing their creative writing.

In this lesson, students choose a woman they feel contributed something important to society and then create a presentation about her and the contribution. A variety of choices are offered for the student to choose from, and also to allow teachers to use this lesson with the software they have available.
