This is a biography writing unit about the famous English scientist, Isaac Newton. The unit is ideal for fifth grade and sixth grade and has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

The Google Slides activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in 5th grade or 6th grade learning about science, or famous figures.

Chemical and physical changes are all around us! This resource is a fun way to explore chemical and physical changes in the context of honey production. Connect chemistry and biology with this extension assignment. Perfect for end of unit or early finishers.

Students are tasked with:

• Investigating honey production through the lens of chemical and physical changes
• Filling out a response sheet that gets them identifying changes in the process and why these changes are important for bees, other animals and humans.

Note: To be successful in completing this assignment student should have prior knowledge of chemical/physical changes, signs of chemical/physical changes and beginner knowledge of reactants, products and how chemical reactions are written.
