This resource should accompany The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. These editable Google Slides ask students to fill out a timeline of important events from Act 1 of the play and make a prediction for Act 2 based on what they have read.

This resource can be used as a pre-reading activity for The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett or The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. This resource includes two student worksheets which utilize an interactive website about the Frank hideout. Students will explore the website to find answers to the questions provided, and they will learn a little more about the people who were in Anne Frank's life. A presentation with answers to the questions is included in this resource.

This is a biography writing unit about the life and career of the National Youth Poet Laureate and reader of 'The Hill We Climb' during the 2021 Inauguration of Joe Biden, Amanda Gorman. The unit is ideal for 5th grade and 6th grade and has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each. The Google Slides activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in 5th grade or 6th grade learning about U.S. History.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students reading facts, and then sorting and ordering these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to type four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson they need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before typing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs before typing up their work on to the template provided.

This activity is an online resource, that uses Google Slides, and is linked to your Google Drive. It can be completed by students online using tablets or computers. If you are unsure how to allow the students to have their own individual copy take a look at the instructional video below:

Works with any documentary. Students fill out worksheet during and after a film. Great way to practice release of responsibility and ensure students are paying attention to the film. Works well in Language Arts and History classes.

This unit connects learning with technology to English Language Arts/Reading. This lesson teaches students about idioms and guides them through using shapes and other graphic features in Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides to create an idiom.
