Context Clues is an important skill that students must master in order to improve and enhance their comprehension of texts. This skill is especially important for students to apply on state exams to demonstrate proficiency. This Lesson Plan packet provides numerous opportunities for students to learn and practice how to use context clues to determine the meanings of unknown words as they read. The in-depth step-by-step lesson plan carefully guides teachers to show students “HOW TO” both identify and use different context clues types to figure out the meaning of unknown words. ***An editable version of the hard copy lesson plan has also been included!
