Plot the ordered pairs to make a spooky Halloween picture

"The Answers Are..." is a great Non-Curricular Thinking Task your math students can all access, no matter their skill level. Each task card gives a number bank and 5 target answers your students must create. Using each number in the bank only one time each, students work in teams of three to create all 5 expressions by adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. It's more challenging than you might think!

If you are implementing Building Thinking Classrooms this year, "The Answers Are..." is a great thinking task to do with your students at your Vertical Whiteboard stations during the first week of school. Once they solve one of the puzzles, they will keep coming back for more.

Need an engaging, no prep activity to help your students master the concepts of fractions and decimals? You’re in luck! This interactive digital escape room is designed to work on laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

Your students will “visit” two different locations: Belgium and California.

In order to travel from one place to another, they will have to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

There are 10 operations.

After completing each game, they will find a link that will take them to another location.

Since this escape room is online (interactive pages) there is very little prep; just duplicate the student answer sheet, provide the link, and off they go! There are no locks to configure or clues to hide—everything you need is online. No Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams logins are necessary.

This product includes 16 problems of solving expressions following the rules for order of operations. This assignment is self checking in that students will answer the question and find their answers on the coloring page. Once they have locate their answers they will color in that section until all questions have been answered.
