Less than $5 7th Grade Mental Math Task Cards (by date, latest first)

Challenging Problems designed for group work on area and perimeter. Fixed area and fixed perimeter problems to push student thinking. Ideal for students who area already familiar with area and perimeter. I gave these to my 6th graders to refresh their memories from previous grades and still challenge them.

It can also be used to help students understand why when one of the side lengths is less than one, the area will be less than smaller than the other side length.

These random grouping cards contain 120 sets of matching cards to use for random grouping. Each set has 3 cards that are equivalent for students to find their random group for the day. This is a total of 360 cards for you to choose from or change throughout the year. You can choose topics ranging from multiplication facts, equivalent fractions, decimals and percents, all the way to equivalent expressions with exponents and variables.

The cards are meant to be simple enough for students to quickly find their matching cards to find their random group for the day. There are tons of cards to choose from so you can ensure your students will be able to find their groups quickly.

- Multiplication Facts up to 14 (there are plenty of smaller numbers if you want to exclude the larger ones) (3rd-6th Grade)

- Equivalent Fractions (4th Grade)

- Fractions with Circle Models, Bar Models, and on Number Lines (4th - 5th Grade)

- Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Fractions with Like Denominators (4th-5th Grade)

- Equivalent Fractions, Decimals, and Percents (6th - 7th Grade)

- Equivalent Expressions with Exponents (6th - 8th Grade)

- Equivalent Expressions with Variables (6th - 10th Grade)

The cards are not labeled with numbers or letters to indicate which board they should go to. You can either add this yourself or have them choose their board.
