A great classroom display and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to the some of the key events and figures from African American sport.

There are 27 posters or task cards that include many key events such as Jack Johnson winning the heavyweight boxing championship, Jackie Robinson breaking the racial barrier in Major League Baseball, Wilma Rudolph's Olympic feats, to more modern victories like LeBron James becoming the all-time highest points scorer in the NBA.

The posters look great as a display in the classroom and the cards are brilliant for Black History Month or for looking at some of the inspirational figures in more detail. If you are looking for a fun and interactive way to get your students working together, trying something new, and having a little fun along the way, while also getting them up and moving a bit, then you will love this team building and leadership challenge! Use it as an icebreaker or add a few extra challenges that students will work through and make it a complete lesson! My early elementary and middle school students loved this activity.

This is the English version of this same French game, also available in my store.

In this fun kinesthetic math game, students work in pairs to create a paper basketball and count hits and misses to find fractions, decimals, simplified fractions and percentages that represent player statistics.

All you need are plastic cups, a roll of tape, and a recycling bin full of paper.

This game is designed for 5th and 6th graders, but can easily be played in 7th or 8th grade as a review.

Great for a substitute or for fun days (or for a class with a crowd of crazy little ones who like to move all day, like mine!)
