Less than $5 7th Grade Writing Printables (by rating)

This is such a fun creative writing activity. This activity has students work in a small group to create a fun and unique story. They will be passing around their writing outline to their group of 5. The first student will choose a character and their characteristics. Then fold the paper down so the next student cannot see what they have written. Student 2 will decide the setting and then fold the paper down again. This will continue to student 3 and 4 where they will choose the conflict and the solution. Then the original student will get their paper back and open their paper and use their outline to create their own creative story. This makes the writing a little bit challenging as they try to create a story that was chosen by their fellow classmates. This can also be a super fun and creative way to expand students writing by stretching them a little outside their comfort zone.

What Is Included: Task 1: Create Your Apple Playlist Task 2: Descriptive Paragraph About Your Playlist Task 3: Cover Art Design Task 4: Reflection Questions (Equity and Inclusivity) Rubric I typically give this assignment out at the beginning of the school year to get to know my student’s taste in music. It takes between 4-6 periods to complete and is appropriate for grade 5-8. Please note: This assignment works best if you are able to access Apple Music. As a teacher, you could always set up a free account to show to your students or ask your students if any of them already have it and would be willing to show the class how it works. Spend some time and show them how to use it if you have access to it. You can also see some demos from the Apple website. If you do not subscribe to Apple Music, I highly recommend it. You can still use this assignment without Apple Music with your students and they can reflect on the inclusivity of the playlist that they create. TIPS: 1. Do you print out your student's writing and have them peer edit? Do you have students' correct sentences when teaching grammar? Then these are perfect for you. These are quick, easy editing marks students can use to correct writing or assist with grammar lessons. I print them out, number the back of them and laminate them.

I hand them out at the beginning of the year to keep in their writing binder. When we do Daily Language they use a red pen to edit the sentences and then rewrite the sentences correctly. When we peer edit I print their writing and they meet with a partner and peer edit each other's work using these correction marks.

The first lesson involves students retrieving facts from informational texts about Babe Ruth, Roberto Clemente and Jackie Robinson, and writing these on to a fact sheet. In the second lesson students need to use these facts to write three to four paragraphs about the individual players. In the third lesson students need to use prompt sheets to write up an introduction and a conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.

This is a 33-page set of worksheets to help grade 6 students practice the R.A.C.E.S. Writing Strategy. The R.A.C.E.S. Writing Strategy (Restate, Answer, Cite, Explain, Summarize) is a method that students can use to write meaningful responses to questions about a written text.

Father's Day Cards and Father Day Gifts are hard to organise this year when many teachers are still involved in distance learning and distance teaching. This pack of 200 + Father Day Cards (or pockets) templates will hopefully make organizing something special for our amazing fathers, step fathers, uncles, grandfathers or special someone on Father's Day a bit easier.

I developed these Father's Day Cards or Pockets because they are thoughtful, can be personalized, are something a bit different and so easy to explain and share with our students when we are not in school. They can be shared as a hard copy, exported as slides or shared digitally and then printed at home.

These Father's Day Cards (pockets actually) can be edited to suit different situations, ages, countries and languages. Dad, Papa, or Uncle, Grandpa, Grandad - just edit - no worries!

• Simply choose a pocket template (several kinds and loads of choices)
• Edit the messages and instructions if you want your students to read or follow
• Choose what kind of inserts or coupons you want to use
• Again you can edit to suit what message or language you want
• Export the slides you have used to PDF, jpeg or digital slides and share with your students OR print a hard copy to deliver to them.
• The student's can print at home, complete and have a lovely surprise ready for Father's Day on June 21st (USA).
