This creative Winter Concert Decorations: Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this PDF file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen. For this assignment, I asked students to get with a partner or into small groups and brainstorm subject matter, orientation, and theme of the overall composition. Plus, decide which group member(s) will be in charge of what to draw and where to draw it. Students will need to sketch out ideas first inside a sketchbook, transfer the sketches to Final Copy Paper, outline the large image, and start coloring in everything with crayon. Students can also write sentences using the vocabulary words. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet. Words that students may need help with spelling when answering comprehension questions are provided in this product as well. Each chapters questions are divided up throughout this product. An answer key is included at the end of this product along with comprehension questions that allow students to reflect on the whole book, who their favorite character was, what the plot of the story was, etc.
