Less than $5 8th Grade Math Test Prep Task Cards (by date, latest first)

Ever needed a review activity on solving equations that was fun and engaging for your students? Team Target Review is a cooperative and competitive activity designed to get students thinking, talking, and working together.

Teams of 2-4 students work together to complete increasing levels of difficulty on solving equations. As students progress, you can quickly assess mastery and give intervention help on the spot.

This activity works great as an engaging review session before an assessment, a quick(ish) activity on one of those pesky minimum days where you have limited time, or as part of a block period when you want to break up the direct instruction.

This activity includes:

-Suggested activity instructions (based on how I run this in my classroom).

-5 rounds with four problems each of targeted review on solving equations for 8th grade.

-Complete worked out solutions for each round.

This exam is set up just like the Algebra 1 Regents Exam so your students will have plenty of practice with the types of questions the state asks! If your students don't take a regents exam you can still use this product in the following ways:

1.Print this out and just make it their final exam.

2.The answer key is already done for you!

Regents Prep

1.Have students form study groups to complete these questions over a couple of days in class (give out the printable)

2.Have students work together in groups with task cards

Homework

1.Pre-assign certain questions for HW the night before and go over them the next day in class.

Pre-test

1.You can give students 3 hours of class time to complete this test

2.Grade it and let them know how they did

3.Have them go back and make corrections or do a class activity going over all the questions
