We Beat The Street Chapter Vocabulary Words

ABOUT THIS RESOURCE

★ Text - We Beat The Street

Words Defined (by chapter)

Print and Digital

10 pages / 312 words student-friendly defined

This resource includes:

10 pages of 312 Defined Words

*******************************

We Beat the Street Vocabulary Words were selected from each chapter of the book and defined in student-friendly terms. Vocabulary words and their definitions are grouped by chapters. Each vocabulary word is accompanied by the page number and its definition.

This is a great resource for students who need some words defined to enhance their comprehension of the reading. While reading the book, students can refer to the vocabulary packet anytime they come across unfamiliar words. They will have complete access to word meanings as they read to support and enhance comprehension. This also saves "dictionary time."

This can serve as a differentiation tool for students who need additional support in reading comprehension. Another great idea is asking students to incorporate some of these words in their writing responses/assignments.

This resource is also included in Google Slides in case you want to share it with your students digitally!

ELA Book for Student Reference/Writing/Literature/Grammar/Organizers

By Blooming Through High School

Perfect for learners who have IEP's requiring class notes, correctly completed examples, and graphic organizers.

Bundle and save with the All Things English Revising & Editing Workbook

I was tired of writing things on the board over and over again. I was tired of printing out pages that students threw away. I was also tired of answering questions that students could find for themselves. So I made a book to make sure I wouldn't have to anymore.

Over the course of 2 months, I thought of everything that I would have to teach, explain, write examples of, and print, and I put all my tips and tricks into ONE BOOK. I printed this out and spiral bound all the pages for each of my students. Every time my students ask me to repeat something, I point them to the book.

I also use this in my class for reference during specific lessons as well. It's a game changer! I save time and I save my sanity.

It's the MOST helpful for all the little pieces students need to know for all the stages of writing: brainstorming, pre-writing, paragraphs, citations, plagiarism, and much, much more.

WANT TO REVISE THIS TO MAKE IT YOUR OWN? I've added the Word document for teachers to modify to fit their teaching style!

As students are learning the ULTIMATE 260 - 4th grade sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence, and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using each newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the 4th grade sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is rather lengthy, so instead of printing it out, you can display it for the entire class to see as well. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.

If you are interested in the product above, the sight word checklist may be of interest to you as well.
