⭐ Part 1: The first section of the Anticipation Guide features a list of statements alongside columns labeled "AGREE" and "DISAGREE." Students are tasked with reading each statement and marking either "AGREE" or "DISAGREE" based on their perspective.
⭐ Part 2: The second section of the Anticipation Guide prompts students to choose a statement from the list above and delve into its significance to them. They may reflect on how the statement connects to their own lives, share a personal experience related to it, or elaborate on their thoughts concerning its importance in greater detail.
▶️ Variation #2: This Anticipation Guide worksheet format includes a list of statements accompanied by columns for "AGREE," "DISAGREE," and "COMMENTS." Students are instructed to read each statement and mark either "AGREE" or "DISAGREE." This product includes 2 social stories that focus on taking turns, the steps taken to solve a problem, the importance of taking turns, the importance of sharing with others, the steps you could take to solve a problem and how to respond to problems, feeling frustrated and how to improve situations that can cause frustration.
Each short story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters who are experiencing a problem. When students are reading each story, they will review how the characters felt and how they used turn taking skills.
