With this product, students will write sentences using the 44 idioms that are included. What an idiom is reviewed, the meaning of each idiom is provided along with an example of the word/s used in a sentence.

Writing a story about a snowman is fun project for your students to show their creativity. This product includes information to share with your students about what a story is, what is shared in a story, who the audience can be, what is the author's purpose for writing a story, and how the story can be published. This product includes two story ideas, an example of one snowman story is outlined on a brainstorming template, and a final draft of the snowman story is included in this product. Templates are included after the example along with a rough draft/final draft template and reminder checklist so students remember to go back and check their work once it is completed.

This book series is great for young children as they can relate with what Franklin and his friends experience as they are growing up and helping each other. The book, Franklin Plays the Game, discusses Franklin's feelings about playing soccer, discovering that he needs to practice to improve, learning about teamwork, being a good friend, winning is not the most important thing when playing sports, etc. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Images are located throughout packet to help students answer questions. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet.

Students will learn how to write their address, phone number, and the difference between which county, town, state, country, and continent they live in. Students will follow the example and practice writing their address on a template with support and independently. Once students have mastered learning where they live, they can answer the questions at the end of the packet independently or with help.

Students will have the opportunity to review the fall vocabulary words (pictures and words are provided for each vocabulary word), students can cut out the pictures that show what they see in the fall and glue them on the board provided called, "In the fall, I see..." (When I used this product with students I increased the size to 11 x 17, so the board could hold more pictures that showed what each picture that relates with the fall). Students will be provided with 18 pictures that they can choose that relate with the fall and 18 pictures that relate with other seasons. Students are also provided with a template where they can write about what they see/do in the fall. There are two templates - 1 for a paragraph/essay and another that allows students to write 5 sentences or 10 sentences.
