Singular Nouns and Singular Possessive Nouns Sentence Workbook

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 31 different nouns presented that emphasize singular nouns and singular possessive nouns. Students will learn the difference between singular nouns and singular possessive nouns. Students will review singular nouns and write the singular possessive nouns and will then review the singular possessive nouns and write the singular noun for each noun provided.
The words for each sentence are not in English word order and are scrambled. Students will use the words provided to make a sentence in proper English word order that includes singular possessive nouns. Once students unscramble the given sentences, they will have the opportunity to make up a sentence using the singular noun and singular possessive noun for each vocabulary word. Pictures for each noun are provided.

- put them in a receptacle of your choice
- decide on how long you want to spend on this activity and set a timer
- pupils take turns pulling out a card and finishing or making a sentence using cues and picture prompts
- if they say it right, they get to keep the card
- if they get it wrong, they put it back
- the next pupil takes a turn
- if they pull out a Kaboom! card, they put all their cards back, feel free to use as many (or as few) Kaboom! card as you wish
- pupil with the most cards at the end wins
Scoot Game
- use the numbered sentence cards, each student gets a recording sheet
- place one card on each student's desk. If you have fewer students than cards, feel free to not use the whole deck.
- plan a route, make sure your students understand which way they are supposed to move
- start the game by having each pupil write the answer to their card on their answer sheet
- when students are finished, call out "SCOOT" and they move to their neighbour's desk where they write the answer to the card on that desk
- call out "SCOOT" again, students move again, continue until students have answered all the cards
- answer sheets can be corrected with the whole group, in pairs or collected for a later correction
Collaborative Crossword
- students work in pairs, each pair gets 1 crossword sheet cut in half
- to work out the crossword, students need to tell each other clues - definitions of vocabulary from their part of the crossword
- once the crossword are finished, students need to work out what the secret message is

This product focuses on the use of irregular verbs in past simple, it contains affirmative sentences.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- task cards can be used as a whole class activity or in groups, depending on the size of your class
- if used as a group activity, print out as many sets as the number of groups
- print out (see printing instructions) and cut up the task card, print out the pages with numbers
- put the task cards (1 set) in a receptacle of your choice
- pupils take turns pulling out a card and making sentences - they fill the gaps with the right form of the verbs in brackets (all missing verbs are IRREGULAR VERBS in PAST SIMPLE)
- if they say it right, they get to keep the card
- if they get it wrong, they put it back
- the next pupil takes a turn; repeat until all task cards are handed out
- (if done as a group activity, hand out the rest of the sets at this point)
- once all the task cards are handed out, students put them in the correct order to create a story about the origins of Thanksgiving

In this product, students will review winter vocabulary and their signs. Students will be provided with 12 winter picture cards that they can cut out. Students will be given two different forms of the picture cards - one with the name of each picture card and one without. Once students cut out the picture cards, they will follow the directions on each page of the winter prepositions booklet and glue the pictures where they belong. Students will then make up a sentence using each preposition. The product can be cut and made into a smaller pocket booklet. In this product, students will identify what adjectives are, students will learn that adjectives tell how something feels, sounds, tastes, smells, how many, what color, what size, and what shape something is, an in-depth list of adjectives are provided, students will circle the adjectives in each sentence, students will identify articles and demonstratives in sentences. Students will be required to fill in the blanks and circle the correct answer. Students will identify the forms of good - good, better, best and the forms of bad - bad, worse, and worst. Students will write the correct form of good and bad for each question provided and will then be required to write sentences using the forms of good and bad.

In this product, students will identify what contractions are, students will be provided with examples of contractions used in sentences, students will be provided with an in-depth list of contractions, students will write the contraction for each word on the line provided, they will write the contractions for the unlined words in each sentence, they will complete each sentence by using a contraction for words in parentheses, they will circle the contraction in given sentences and write the two words that make up the contraction on the line, students will circle the correct contraction for each given question, students will write sentences using given contractions, students will rewrite a set of 4 classroom rules using contractions, and students will write a paragraph/make up a story using given contractions.
