This lesson will help your students learn how to solve systems of equations using the substitution method, encourages rich math discussion, and introduces various strategies for solving by substitution. This lesson starts with a very low floor to encourage access for all students, and provides a high ceiling with extension questions. Once complete, students can use the provided notes template to record their thinking, as well as a "Check Your Understanding" exit ticket to give you and your students formative assessment feedback on how they are understanding the topic.
