AP Spanish El calentamiento global Article with questions and Goformative

By Specialty Spanish

The Global Challenges unit of AP Spanish® has many interesting contexts, including the environment. This digital and printable article talks about the effects of global warming in Antarctica, and explains the paradox of how rising temperatures actually cause more snow! Distance learners can complete this via a Google Doc or by doing the auto-graded goformative version. Students who prefer paper copies can have a print-out! Save time searching the net to find a good article, and save more time by letting goformative grade this for you! Another benefit to the goformative version is that students can see the article side by side with the questions, and the questions are embedded just where they can find the answer! It's a great scaffold for students still developing their reading comprehension skills!

This article is good for students who are ready for a challenge and/or who like science. It's a little longer than the other article I posted for this unit, but the embedded questions make this accessible for students!

Who can use this product?

  • Students in Year 4, 5 or AP®
  • Students studying the environment

How can I use this product?

  • Assign this article in class or for homework
  • Assign this article via Google classroom or other learning management platform, or print it out
  • Assign this article via Goformative (free for educators! All you need to do is create an account!)
  • Use this as a class activity or as a graded assessment
  • Let Goformative grade it for you!
  • Use this as one source of information for class discussions, debates or cultural comparisons

What's included in this product?

  • a 10-page Google doc article with link to internet source (the line-spacing in this article makes it seem very long. The questions are embedded within the article so students can find the answers easier.)
  • 7 embedded questions on the Google doc (AP multiple choice style)
  • an answer key
  • A link to the Goformative version of this article and questions (which self-grades)
  • All parts of this product can be customized to suit your students' needs!
