AP Spanish El cambio climatico Edpuzzle Podcast
By Specialty Spanish
Have you head the Notes in Spanish podcasts? Do you use Edpuzzle? For AP Spanish® Unit 6, I made an MP4 recording of the audio for the podcast about Climate Change, and uploaded it to Edpuzzle! I inserted multiple choice, auto-graded questions into the recording to help students to find the right spot in the podcast to find the answer. The auto-grading of Edpuzzle is not only a time-saver for teachers, but allows students to have feedback on what answers they got right or wrong!
If you've never heard the Notes in Spanish Podcasts before, here is some info!
From their website:
Who are we?
Ben Curtis and Marina Diez live in Madrid, Spain, and have been making Spanish-learning podcasts since 2005, with over 40 Million downloads since then.
We bring you real Spanish conversations on real-life topics, making you totally confident with your Spanish.
From me: Ben and Marina have Beginner and Intermediate level podcasts on a range of topics. I love listening to them! Ben is not a native speaker of Spanish, but Marina is! This married couple converses about every day, relevant topics, and helps students learn vocabulary and even slang expressions that are part of every day Spanish language!

Teamwork Check In- Group Project Reflection
By Brittany Henderson
Support students working in teams or on group projects with this reflection form. Meant to be used as a checkpoint mid project! While developed for my project based learning classroom, this form is NOT subject specific and can fit most project needs, even if you are not a PBL teacher!
This activity asks students to consider their role in the group, some traits that make a good team member and has them set a goal to be the best they can moving forward in the project.

AP Spanish Persuasive Paragraph Assessment with Study Guide and Rubric
By Specialty Spanish
AP Spanish® teachers- here is a GREAT way to assess both content knowledge and either writing or speaking skill! This assessment can be digital or printable, formative or summative! It can serve as a good introduction to the argumentative essay or a faster way to assess persuasive writing than having students do a full argumentative AP®-style essay. Included in this resource is a student study guide explaining what their task is and some helpful do's and don'ts to writing persuasively!
Instead of an entire essay, students will write a concise paragraph defending a position related to a topic investigated in class. In order to do well, students must reference the sources they read, listened to, viewed and discussed in class. This task asks a question about climate change, but simply change out the question to make this assessment fit with any unit or context!

AP Spanish El calentamiento global Article with questions and Goformative

Distance learners can complete this via a Google Doc or by doing the auto-graded goformative version. Students who prefer paper copies can have a print-out! The Debate on Affirmative Action
By Sarah Austin
Affirmative Action had been a contentious issue in the United States since the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's. The Supreme Court’s 2023 decision to reject race-conscious admissions at colleges and universities around the nation upended decades of law and the higher education landscape. This lesson will invite students to draw connections between the past and today, as they take a focused look at affirmative action as it applies to admission programs at universities. Students will be provided with an introductory framework from which to understand the historical roots of affirmative action and its' controversial application today through the analysis of primary sources, research, and student-led discussion forum activity.
Time Frame: 2-3 class periods (Based on 60 min class period)

Marking Period/Quarter/Trimester Student Reflections | Report Cards | Progress
By Perfectly Planned Designs
Teachers know it is important to allow students to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses so they can grow and improve. I created these reflection sheets to make it easy! I simply print these reflections out at the end of each Marking Period and have students reflect on their grade as well as the quality of work they turned in. They then describe how they can improve as we begin the next Marking Period. Reflection sheets are also included in case your school uses Quarters or Trimesters.
AP Spanish Retos Ambientales 2 videos with Viewing Guides and Ed puzzle
By Specialty Spanish
AP Spanish® teachers: save time searching for the right video for your students! This Google Doc contains links to TWO YouTube videos and a viewing guides perfect for Unit 6: Los retos ambientales. One video has an auto-grading Edpuzzle version! The accompanying comprehension questions are digital for distance learners and printable for in-person learners, and they are customizable to make them just right for your students’ needs!
Have students watch these videos to get a sense of some of the problems we face with our environment. One video talks about 5 specific problems in Mexico, their causes and their consequences. It is a short video, but the narrator speaks rather fast. This resource comes with a comprehension guide in graphic organizer format, or you may choose to use the multiple choice Edpuzzle version. I find that the Edpuzzle version is a good scaffold to aid student comprehension because the questions can be inserted right after the information has been provided! This Edpuzzle is also auto-graded to save you time and to give students instant feedback! The second video is about what would happen if all the ice in the world were to melt. It talks about the possibilities and the human and animal consequences that would occur. This video is accompanied by short answer comprehension questions.
Of course, both viewing guides come with a teacher answer key, and all questions can be edited to suit your needs!
Environmental challenges is a great theme to explore as a Global Challenge, or as part of the Science and Technology Unit. These videos could be a great source for a debate as this topic can be controversial!

Unit 6 of AP® Spanish explores environmental, political and global challenges. Use these 5 resources to introduce the topic and get students interested and talking about it right away! Take away the stress of starting a new unit- you have everything you need to set the stage for this last unit!
First- the "Hook" activity! A Google Slides presentation with provocative images of different global challenges. In each slide, in the speaker notes, there is a speaking prompt the teacher can read to students. Use this as a turn and talk activity to involve everyone at once!
Next, a vocabulary list that introduces words that will be important to have for the unit to better understand the different sources students will examine in class. Included with this vocab list is a pre-made Quizlet for student practice!
Third, there are 2 vocab activities for students to practice using the new words. I usually assign these for homework, but they can be used as in class activities as well.
Last, your essential questions! Guide your unit with these questions.
All of these resources can be edited and customized to meet the needs of your students! You will find each resource linked on a Google Doc.
