This unit is geared towards preschoolers but may be appropriate for some kindergartners as well. If you're looking for more advanced activities, the Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Unit - Elementary School is adaptable for all elementary levels.

The Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Unit is part of my Field Trip Unit Series. The series was created with homeschoolers in mind, but can be adapted to be used in a classroom as well. Field trips are a great way to supplement learning, but often homeschoolers don’t get any background information on the location of their field trip and want to enrich their experience by expanding the learning at home before and after the trip. These units help give information and fun activities before and after the field trip.

These units are available in PreK/Kinder, Elementary, and Middle & High School levels. All Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Units follow the same outline and the parent/teacher info sheet is the same for all three so that if you have children of several ages, you can seamlessly teach them together. This is a great way to try out these cut, sort, and paste worksheets to see if they're a good fit for your classroom or homeschool!

Included with this sampler are several of the Thanksgiving, Forest, Laundry Room, and Summer worksheets. I've included examples of all three types of worksheets that come in the full versions. On "What belongs in..." worksheets, students cut out the pictures and glue the ones that fit the theme in the box. On "What is missing in..." worksheets, students cut out and glue the missing pieces on the picture to create a scene that matches the theme. And on the comparison worksheets, students have to decide which theme the pictures match and glue them in the correct box.

*Please note: I've included black and white versions of the comparison and "What belongs in..." worksheets in the freebie, but both color and black and white are included in the full versions.*

The full versions of the What Belongs? units include fall, winter, spring, and summer, year long holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Easter, and more, plus habitats/places such as the Arctic, the ocean, the farm, and the rooms of the house such as the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and more.

Groundhog Day Color by CVC Word puzzles covering short a, e, i, o, and u word families. Each color by word puzzle features 4 to 6 CVC words for a vowel family in two difficulty levels for 10 puzzles total. I've included both a picture clue set and a word clue set. In the picture clue set, students look at the picture of the word and then find the corresponding word to color. This is a free sampler of my Holiday Tracing Prewriting/Writing Activities and includes pages from four of my preschool prewriting resources: Halloween, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, and St. Patrick's Day. This is a great way to try out these writing center activities to see if they're a good fit for your classroom or homeschool!

I've included several different types of the half-page activities you'll find in any full version unit. Both the freebie and all full versions come with both color and black and white pages for easier printing. These are great for laminating and using again and again in a center or giving to students to use as worksheets.
