Engage your students with this hands-on Four Seasons Tree Craft! This no-prep printable allows students to color, cut, and assemble a 3D tree, representing the changes in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. Perfect for 1st and 2nd graders, it combines creativity with early science lessons about changing seasons. It's an ideal resource for bulletin boards, classroom decor, science centers, or as part of a seasons unit. Students will love displaying their trees on desks or hanging them up, making this a fantastic activity for National Tree Day or any time of year!

How to Assemble:

· Students color in the trees for each season.

· After cutting them out, they fold each tree along the line with the colored part on the inside.

· Next, they glue one half of a tree to the half of another tree, continuing until all trees are glued together to form a standing 3D tree.

In this product, students will label the following vocabulary words with their definitions - food webs, predators, herbivores, carnivores, omnivores, 1st level consumers, 2nd level consumers, 3rd level consumers, producers, food chain, photosynthesis, chlorophyll, and decomposers to review or summarize all that they learned about food chains and food webs. Students will also match the vocabulary words - food chain and food web with the correct diagram. Students will then match the following vocabulary words with the photosynthesis diagram to show that they understand the process of photosynthesis - photosynthesis, light energy, carbon dioxide, oxygen, sugar, and water.

In this product, students will learn about the following: living things - plants and animals and where they live and what they need to live, nutrients and why they are important for plants and animals to survive, the parts of a plant - roots, stems, leaves, and cells. Students will also learn that they can classify plants by the shape of their outside edge, texture, and vein pattern. Students will learn the vein pattern in leaves - netted or parallel veins. Students will also learn about smooth leaf margin and jagged leaf margins. Students will learn about the texture of plants - waxy texture, rough texture, and smooth texture. Students will also learn about the stem structure - soft stems and woody stems. Students will then learn about the root stems - taproots and fibrous roots of plants. As students are learning about the classification of plants they will answer comprehension questions throughout the product to ensure comprehension. Students will then draw a picture of each part of the plant that they are learning about. At the end of the product, students will answer fill in the blank questions that review vocabulary was covered throughout the product.
