With its easy-to-follow NO PREP instructions and minimal materials required, substitute teachers can effortlessly guide students through this engaging activity, ensuring that learning never skips a beat. You will also teach primary and secondary colors, it can also be used to review color theory or to check students' knowledge.
Foster Collaboration and Critical Thinking:
As students collaborate to solve Tetris-inspired challenges, they develop essential teamwork and critical thinking skills. Through lively discussions and creative problem-solving, they learn to communicate effectively and support each other's artistic endeavors.
It is a good art game to use during the first and last week of school as an art sub-plan and an early finisher activity.
There are two ways to play it: cooperatively or competitively. I confess that I prefer cooperatively.
My students were so excited that some did it a few times until they got the gold medal (rulers on how to play are on the teachers' guide)
Teach or review primary and secondary colors with this student-tested game.
This resource includes:
- Teacher’s guide or art sub plans
- PowerPoint presentation
- 2 options on how to play the game
- gold, silver, and bronze medals
- How to play video
