- Write the number of the starting card in the top left square.
- Look at the picture, say what it is and think about what letters spell the digraph sound.
- Walk around the room searching for the match to the picture located in the oval in the top right of another card.
- When found, write the answer on the line in the first box.
- Following the arrow on their paper to box 2, write the number of this card in the box on the top left.
- Repeat until all boxes are full. Students should return to starting card when completed.

My students enjoyed this book because it is a book about friendship, solving problems, trying new things, and growing up as they navigate middle school.
