ESL Pre-Primer - Third Grade Sight Words Bundle Workbook for Newcomers

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 40 pre-primer sight words, 52 primer sight words presented, 41 first-grade sight words presented, 46 second-grade sight words, and 41 third-grade sight words presented.

This product can be used with students who are learning English. It can serve as an in class practice, review, or quiz.

Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture. At the end of each sight words section (pre-primer, primer, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade sight words), students will have the opportunity to choose 11 sight words and make up a sentence using each one.

In the second section of each sight words section, there is a sight word review that requires students to write the English word and the word in the student's native language based on the picture and sentence provided for each sight word

In the third section of each sight words section, there is a sight words review that requires students to make up a sentence for each sight word (pre-primer, primer, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade sight words) learned in their native language.

In the fourth section of each sight words section, students will then be required to make up a sentence using each sight word in English.

Firstly, there are five reading comprehension activities, or informational texts, about:

An Overview of Ancient Persia
Key Advancements of Ancient Persia
Cyrus the Great

These activities require NO PREP and have a body of text that students need to read through thoroughly; then they can use the text to find the comprehension and grammar answers. Finally there is an informational writing unit about Ancient Greece. The unit has again been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.
