Students will investigate the states of matter of water as it changes from frozen to liquid states. The “Science Kids” series is intended to help teachers implement developmentally appropriate, hands-on science activities for children in Preschool, Kindergarten and the early grades. The activities in these packets are based on the scientific method and encourage inquiry-based learning. All activities can be differentiated to meet the needs of your students.

Investigations in this unit include:

Book 1 - This book is not adaptive, it is a simple read aloud featuring details about the animals in each habitat.

Book 2 - This book contains 8 icons, colorful pages (laminate and reuse again and again) & a visual prompting to support comprehension.

Students will investigate shadows and light through a variety of engaging activities. This is a fun unit to do for Groundhog Day, but can be used any time of the year.

The “Science Kids” series is intended to help teachers implement developmentally appropriate, hands-on science activities for children in Preschool, Kindergarten and the early grades. Adaptive Books with a wetland animal theme! Each book contains colorful pictures of your favorite wetland animals - alligator, duck, marsh fly, fish, beaver, crayfish, snapping turtle, muskrat

Book 1 - This book is not adaptive, it is a simple read aloud featuring details about the animals in the wetlands.

Book 2 - This book contains 8 icons, colorful pages (laminate and reuse again and again) & a visual prompting to support comprehension.

Book 3 - This book contains 8 color icons & low ink for quick printing. Each page has a visual support & an "I see" statement.

Book 4 - This book contains 8 color icons & low ink for quick printing. Each page has no visual supports & an "I see" statement.
