Kindergarten English Language Arts Thematic Unit Plans (by date, oldest first)

Use this activity to sequence the events in There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Turkey. Each event is pictured on a turkey feather that, when completed, creates an adorable turkey that sequences the story. Print on cardstock to make it more durable or mat it on a large piece of construction paper. Students will color and cut out the turkey feathers and body, glue them together, and have a great "craftivity" that tells what happens in this adorable book.

Apple fun with a decodable twist! Great reading center or small group hands on practice.

Young learners can practice CVC words while working on color words with this fun "Apples" book. High frequency words align with Unit 1 of Benchmark Advance - Florida.

Print two to a page for a foldable decodable book. Early finishers can match color words as they color the apples to match.
