These questions can be used as ice breakers, to begin classroom discussions, create classroom polls and graphs or a writing prompts!

This file will be very useful when it comes to tracking the delivery of the different homework that you propose to your students on the different online platforms, for example, Seesaw or Google Class, for up to 9 weeks.

 I have put the subjects of Language Arts and Social Studies, Mathematics and Natural Sciences because they are the ones that concern me, but if you teach different subjects, you just must rename them. 

In the "Home" tab, the yellow one, you can see a clear and quick overview of how each of your students is working. In this tab, you don't have to enter more data than the name of the students and the ID if desired. It will be in the other three tabs, those referring to the mentioned subjects, where you will mark with a simple click who performs each of the assigned tasks. 

I use to send them a daily exercise for each subject. It will show us the number of daily homework performed and the grade of each student in each of the weeks. The range used is the following: a "1" if they deliver a weekly homework, a "2" if they deliver two, a "3" if they deliver three, and a "4" if they deliver four or five tasks throughout the week. Change the formula in the "Grade" column if you have a different string. 

In the first tab, called "Home", the number of assignments performed by each student in each subject will appear automatically below every week´s column. The grade that appears is the average grade for all the weeks to date. It does not matter if your quarter is nine weeks or less, the data that appears will always be according to the number of weeks entered. If there were no more than seven weeks, the marks will automatically be an average mark based on seven weeks and not nine. 

Finally, the orange tab helps me to know who gives me a series of WEEKLY exercises that in my class we call “Weekly homework”. It is marked who gives it and it shows us the total number of weekly tasks submitted and the percentage that it represents to date. So, if a student submits the Weekly Assignment for the first three weeks, it will reflect 100% in all of them, but if they stop delivering them, the percentage will gradually decrease until the last evaluation week. On the contrary, if the student does not present anything the first two weeks, but he does in the third, in the first two you could see 0% and in the third 33%, since that is what it represents to date.

The Kinder Sight-Words Domino - HMH "Into Reading" Edition is invaluable for parents and teachers looking to enhance their child's reading abilities while staying in sync with the "Into Reading" program. Watch as your child's reading skills flourish through engaging gameplay!

How to play

Materials needed:

•A set of word cards from the same module.

Preparation:

•Ensure all the cards are well-shuffled and face down in a deck.

Instructions:

1. Each player takes a specific number of word cards, depending on the number of players and the number of cards in the module. Typically, 7 word cards are dealt to each player in a game with two or three players.

2. Players begin by searching their seven cards for the ones containing the same word twice. The game kicks off with the player who has the longest duplicated word on their card. In case of a tie, the youngest student takes the first turn.

3. The first player plays one of their cards in the center of the table.

4. The next player tries to match one of their word cards so that one word matches one of the words on the ends of the word card placed on the table.

5. The game continues clockwise, and players must try to match their word cards so that one word matches one of the words on the ends of the word cards already placed on the table.

6. If a player cannot make a valid play with the word cards in their hand, they must draw a word card from the pile of unused word cards and pass their turn. If they still cannot make a play, they continue drawing until they can.

7. A player wins when they successfully get rid of all their word cards. If the game becomes blocked, meaning no player can make a valid move, the player or players with the fewest cards emerge as the winners.

Adaptations:

1. If you want to make the game easier, remove those cards where the word at the top and bottom of the card is the same. This will give each participant more opportunities.
2. There are two available sizes of cards. Print the small ones if you are going to play with the complete set of cards.

Progressive Learning:

You can play with only the cards that contain the words you have covered in class, and gradually add the rest of the cards as they learn them, with a minimum of 5 words (20 cards).

Este recurso será de gran utilidad para realizar un seguimiento de las tareas asignadas a sus alumnos en plataformas online como Seesaw, por ejemplo. Recommended sequence

1. Review the 5 senses.

2. Take a moment to tune in, breathe, and just be.

3. Give instructions for how to quietly be in the outside world, using keen observation and a relaxed mind to fill in this chart.

4. Give plenty of time for students to draw or write their findings.

5. Come together as a group and find out what people observed and any impact it had on them.

Tips for your mindfulness nature walk

1. Walk at a natural, slow pace. Take your time to take in the beauty of nature around you. Look around you. Notice the trees around you. Are they starting to change colors? Are they losing their leaves?
2. Take in deep breaths through your nose. Shift your awareness to your smell. What do you smell? Does it smell earthy? Do you smell the leaves around you?
3. Listen. What do you hear? Are there animals bustling around? Do you hear the leaves crunching underneath your feet?
4. Pick up a few leaves. How do they feel? Are they starting to decompose? Are they crunchy? What color are they?
5. Shift your attention back to walking. Feel the physical sensation of walking. One foot up, one foot down. Notice your feet touching the ground. How do you feel?
6. At the end of your walk, pause and take a moment. Stand still and take in a deep breath. Take a look around and notice your feelings.
