Get students to practice adding details to sentences with this resource. Students will practice adding adjectives, adverbs, and prepositional phrases to make their writing more engaging and interesting.
What is Included: This resource includes two practice pages where the extra details are already chosen for the student. Students will trace the sentences to practice adding details. Also included are word cards for students to have ideas to create their own sentences. Blank writing pages are provided for students to write their sentences.
When to Use: This activity can make a great literacy center or morning work activity. The tracing pages can also be sent home to be used as homework.
Skills Assessed: Students will practice adding details to their sentences by adding descriptive language.

Fall fun with scrambled sentences! Scrambled sentences are a great way to practice capitalization, comprehension, fluency, content, sight words, content words and punctuation! And with this fall or Halloween spider themed sentence scramble pack, it's also fun! Students read, cut & paste, write, and draw with each sentence.
For each set, there are 10 pages with an eight word sentence, plus punctuation at the bottom of each page. You also get 5 blank templates that you can hand write your own sentences onto, if you want harder or easier sentences. You and your students read the words together, then cut them apart. Students then arrange them into sentence form and glue them into the boxes at the top. Students can then write the sentence on the handwriting line provided, then illustrate the sentence in the box provided. Finally, students can practice fluency by reading the sentences to each other or to the teacher.
These were made originally for seat work for a first grade friend, but I have a fellow kindergarten teacher who is using it in a small group with her high students. And with this Halloween & fall themed sentence scramble sampler pack, it's also fun! Students read, cut & paste, write, and draw with each sentence.
This is a SAMPLER pack. It has FOUR themed pages, one each from October's theme - spiders, bats, pumpkins, and Halloween. It also has two blank pages that you can hand write your own sentences onto.

Present Tense Verbs + Community Helpers - Speech Therapy - No Prep - Task Cards

This resource serves as a start-to-finish way to teach speech language therapy students or English language learners the correct form of present tense verbs. The use of community helpers naturally elicits present tense verbs, while also providing opportunity for vocabulary development. Start by producing short sentences with community helper flashcards, then advance skills by using fill-in-the-blank sentence worksheets, sentence writing worksheets, and reading comprehension worksheets.

Task Cards/Flash Cards can be used to drill correct use of present tense verbs in sentences. They can also be used as memory games or paired with motivating board games. Singular and plural subjects are pictured in both color and black-and-white. Task cards include both picture-only and picture-and-word formats to adapt to your lesson. Community helpers include:
Sentence Frames for all sentence structures including present tense verbs.
NO PREP Reading comprehension passages are written to naturally elicit use of present tense verbs in answers. Words-only and icon-supported reading passages are included for a variety of reading levels.

Grammar: Naturally elicit present tense sentences for singular and plural subjects through flashcards, fill-in-the-blank sentence worksheets, sentence writing worksheets, and reading comprehension worksheets. Present progressive, Past, Future, and all other tenses can be prompted as well.
Vocabulary: Practice labeling community helpers/occupations and their actions. Sort pictured community helpers by location, attributes, tools, actions, etc. Compare and contrast community helpers. Produce synonyms and antonyms of verbs.
Wh- questions: Ask who, what, where, when, why questions about community helpers. Use reading comprehension passage to answer wh- and inferential questions.
"Goes" Present Tense Sentences - Speech Therapy - Sorting by Location

This product is great for students working on those tricky present tense sentences that aren't the easiest to elicit naturally. As many students use "go" incorrectly for singular subjects ("The crayon go in the box"), students will have repeated practice of "goes" sentences with this resource. This is done through sorting of objects by location (e.g., "The toothbrush goes in the bathroom"). NO PREP worksheets and sentence frames are also included.
